City Library: Children Section

This is one of our favorite places nowadays. Or maybe even when I was younger. We can spend hours here. It didn't look this way before as it has changed location and arrangement through the years.

The City Library Children Section is located upstairs way back of the 2nd floor. It has 10 mini-tables and chairs and a couple of regular sized ones. The best part is it's air-conditioning unit is functioning as of this year. It has been out of order for a time and it was quite warm place.

The librarian's desk upon entering the area. You have to log in upon entering, although we would sometimes skip this coz we'll end up finding our names more than once on the same page. Go figure if we come there too often or there aren't really a lot of users of this place. Sad if it's the latter.

The heart of the children's books collection: a number of different story books, encyclopedias, atlases and other interesting books.

The area for the biggies. Bigger kids.

Quite a lot of these books are donated by Palaweno's of NYC (as stamped on the books). Let me take this chance to express my appreciation for these. I just hope that more kids will discover these treasures they've donated.

Here are some textbooks for gradeschoolers, as well as a high schools. Although some are a bit old.

A sad thing to read on the wall. Why? Books can only be photocopied. I just wish that the storybooks can be taken out for a day or two, at least allowed to be taken home, even if it would need a "deposit."
